In the 1770’s the Franciscan friars were looking for a midway outpost between the San Pedro Harbor and the San Gabriel Mission. They discovered an area perfectly situated to meet their needs and, in 1781, named this new city, “Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Angeles” (i.e. “Our Lady Queen of the Angels”). This title was taken from the “Litany of Loretto”, a traditional prayer from Italy of which they were most familiar. Over the decades, Our Lady’s Queenship has been forgotten by the people upon which this city was founded. Hollywood has lost its understanding that we all belong under the Mantle of our Blessed Mother. Thus, the original name of our city, “Our Lady Queen of the Angels”, eventually became known as “Los Angeles” (i.e., “the Angels“).
We here at Mary’s Town are humbly attempting to invite our Queen Mother back to Her leadership role in the city of “the Angels” and the inner media hub of the world, Hollywood. After all, it was Mary’s Town from the city’s inception. Thus, Mary’s Town Productions LLC and Mary’s Town Holy Rosary were created. Mary’s Town Productions has chosen the “Union of Jesus and Mary” as our symbol, as this reflects the illuminating vibrant redemptive life and beauty we all yearn for in this “valley of tears.”

Each Monday evening and Thursday morning PST, Mary’s Town prays a beautiful Holy Rosary, via ZOOM, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Directly following each Holy Rosary, we also are gifted with accomplished guest speakers who inspire us with their years of wisdom as Catholics working within the world of media and entertainment.
Every Monday and Thursday we are graced with accomplished guest speakers. These Catholic creatives engage us for an hour and a half, live via ZOOM. This provides the community of Mary’s Town the opportunity to be inspired by the depth of their creative knowledge and insight into the world of entertainment and media. This, in turn, emboldens us to to pray for and produce greater visionary works in our collective missions to transform the hearts and souls of all the peoples of the world.
Approximately once per month, Mary’s Town goes on “Hollywood Safaris” where we go directly into the “Lion’s Den” and pray the Holy Rosary in front of iconic media industries within Hollywood. We earnestly pray for a metanoia of the souls therein and the works they produce going forward.
"We want Mary to have the final say in deciding to whom and for what purpose the grace of our prayers and good works should be applied."
